The Most Incredible Day at the Club Hub Awards 2025
Wow — what can I say? On Saturday 10th May 2025, I had the absolute pleasure of attending the Club Hub Awards in Birmingham, and once again, the event blew me away. Hosted by the wonderful Tessa, this annual celebration never disappoints. It’s more than just an awards ceremony — it’s an inspiring, jam-packed day of learning, laughter, connection, and celebration with over 200 children’s activity providers from across the UK.
If you’re in the children’s activity industry and haven’t yet experienced this amazing day, mark your calendar now for 2026 — it’s an event you don’t want to miss!
Kicking Off With Energy and TikToks
The day began with excitement and buzz as everyone arrived, mingled, and prepared for the full agenda ahead. After a warm welcome from Tessa, we jumped into an energetic ice breaker with the always-fun Anne-Marie Martin from Diddi Dance. If you know Anne-Marie, you know she loves a TikTok — and soon enough, we were all split into small groups making our own TikToks! You can check out ours on the Boogie Beat HQ Instagram page — made in collaboration with the fabulous ladies from the Children’s Activities Association, Nicole Bateman the Friendly SEND Advisor, and Mirela from Mini Professors East Surrey.
Workshops and New Insights
Our first workshop was with Chris Ryu from Dorset Tech, who made SEO feel like ABC! It was super insightful and full of actionable tips I’ll be taking back into my own business.
After a short break, the excitement ramped up with the first-ever announcement of the Club Hub Top 100 Children’s Activities in the UK! I was absolutely thrilled that Boogie Beat Music and Movement in Aldershot made it into the Top 100 — a huge achievement we’re so proud of!
Workshop number two brought plenty of laughs with Tim Freed from Book That In, who delivered a brilliant session on how AI is evolving — from jaw-dropping video transformations to practical business tools, it was both funny and enlightening.
More Learning, More Fun
Post-lunch, it was time for our third workshop, and I joined Tamara from Dot Stripe, who turned us all into marketing spies! Complete with pink heart sunglasses and spy names (mine was Great Laser), we explored unique and fun ideas for promoting our businesses.
Then came one of the most emotional and moving moments of the day — the keynote speech from Dance Syndrome, a dancer-led, disability-inspired charity. Their story of resilience, inclusion, and joy brought many of us to tears and reminded us all why we do what we do. Watching everyone dance together — united, inclusive, joyful — was truly magical.
Celebrating the Best in the Industry
The day ended on a high with the much-anticipated Club Hub Awards Ceremony. This year, 196 businesses entered across 15 categories, with 340 applications submitted. Of those, 75 were shortlisted and 15 emerged as winners.
I was incredibly honoured that Boogie Beat Head Office was recognised as a finalist in two categories — Leader of the Year and Franchisor with Over 15 Franchises. To be up on that stage alongside so many inspiring men and women, and to be recognised as a finalist, was a truly proud and humbling moment.
Wrapping Up with Connection and Celebration
The day closed with the final Top 100 announcements and a warm send-off, followed by a lively drinks reception hosted by the Children’s Activities Association. It was the perfect way to end an inspiring and uplifting day.
Final Thoughts
The Club Hub Awards is more than an event — it’s a reminder of the passion, purpose, and impact we all bring to our communities through children’s activities. From new knowledge and connections to shared laughs and tearful inspiration, it really is the best day of the year for anyone in this industry.
If you’re a children’s activity provider and haven’t been before — you absolutely must come in 2026. I promise, it will be one of the most rewarding days of your year.
