As the colours of spring are blooming, we invite you to join us for a truly special event that combines fun, movement, and the spirit of giving.
From 28th April to 2nd May, Boogie Beat Music and Movement are hosting a Spring fundraiser with Action for Children, our nominated charity who are dedicated to helping vulnerable children across the UK by giving them safe and happy childhoods.
About Boogie Beat Music and Movement:
Formed 25 years ago Boogie Beat is a unique programme that uses music and dance to engage children and help them develop in a fun, interactive environment, through the use of traditional stories, songs, dance and props. It’s all about building confidence, improving coordination, and encouraging creativity through music and movement. Children (and adults!) can express themselves, learn new skills, and most importantly—have a blast!
During our Beautiful Bugs Boogie Beat session, children will have the chance to dress up and take part in our adventures. Whether you’re a butterfly, a ladybird, or a buzzing bee, dressing up is not only welcome—it’s encouraged! The more colourful and creative, the better!
How Can You Help Raise Money for Action for Children?
This spring fundraiser is an exciting opportunity to not only take part in a fun-filled Boogie Beat session but also contribute to a cause that makes a real difference in the lives of children and families.
All the funds raised in the below ways will go directly to Action for Children.
Action for Children is a charity driven by love – taking action so children don’t miss out on a safe and happy childhood. With 372 services in communities across the UK, in schools and online, they work on the ground giving children and young people the protection and practical help they urgently need. And they campaign tirelessly for lasting change. Last year Action for Children helped over 680,000 vulnerable children, young people and families.
They offer Family Support with their digital parenting support service, Parent Talk, and with our support they can be there for children and families when then need them the most.

How to get involved
There are several ways you can get involved and make a difference:
Take Part in a Beautiful Bugs Boogie Beat Session
Running from the 28th April to the 2nd May you can take part in a Boogie Beat Beautiful bugs class in your area. Join us for a traditional story, songs, dances and 50 pence from every ticket will be donated. Bring along any coins (or notes!) and donate in our collection tins or use the QR code to donate in class.
Dress Up and Have Fun!
Encourage your child to dress up as their favourite insects, from sparkly butterflies to buzzing bees. Let their imaginations run wild! The more fun and exciting, the better,
Take Part in the Online Virtual Balloon Race
In addition to our Boogie Beat sessions, we’ll be organising a virtual balloon race where you can buy a balloon and watch it race to the finish line. Each balloon purchase helps to raise vital funds for Action for Children, and the best part … The winner will receive a special Boogie Beat prize—perfect for any little Boogie Beat fan! Keep an eye out nearer the time to purchase your balloon.
