At Boogie Beat, we believe in supporting our franchisees with training that’s not only informative but also flexible, practical, and tailored to their individual learning styles. One of our recent franchisees, Michelle, shared her training experience—and we’re thrilled to highlight her journey!

When Michelle began her Boogie Beat adventure in January 2025, she was given a personalised training plan in advance. This turned out to be a game-changer:

“Absolutely yes – particularly learning the bulk of the key regular workshop/class content and gathering database info for approaching nurseries etc.”

From the outset, she appreciated the structure and clarity the training provided. But there was one thing she wasn’t too sure about… online training.

“I was a little sceptical at first… I’m very much a face-to-face kind of person.”

Like many new to virtual learning, Michelle had her reservations. But with a few sessions under her belt and some helpful recorded videos from trainer Hannah, she quickly found her rhythm. Hannah provides all new franchisees with over 10 hours of in person online training, making sure new franchisees are set up to run their businesses, covering everything from accounting, social media, marketing, lesson plan delivery and so much more.

“It turned out to be absolutely fine… the ability to look back through the recorded sessions was also really beneficial.”

Interestingly, while she initially thought she’d prefer in-person sessions, Michelle found the online setup surprisingly convenient:

“On reflection, the online sessions worked much better than I had anticipated… I just needed to adapt to this style of learning.”

Michelle especially appreciated the flexibility of the training schedule, which allowed her time to practice and plan—though balancing it with another job was a personal challenge she’s taking in her stride.

There were just a couple of areas where Michelle would love to see even more support:

“Personally, I would have liked a full training session on social media as I am not that skilled in this area”

This is an excellent suggestion and reflects our ongoing commitment to evolving our training programme to meet every franchisee’s needs.
