A visit to the Boogie Beat Music and Movement shop is a great way to start your holiday!
Here you will find a shop where you and your children can practice the songs and dances you learn in the classes at home! The chance to bring music and movement into your home and to share with family around you whilst supporting your child’s development.
Instruments
Having access to a range of instruments at home is a great source of stimulation for children’s brains and enhances their motor skills and promotes their wellbeing. Our Boogie Beat shop has a range of instruments available to purchase from bells and castanets to shakers and tambourines let your child play along to music in your home over the holiday period and have lots of fun shaking and playing along.
Song downloads
Is your child missing their favourite class songs? Choose one of our 3 song downloads to purchase and sing and dance to or why not go for them all! Moving and dancing in the home is always great fun – why not add a rainbow wand or scarf to help them do the Boogie Beat Shake at home with too!!
Story Telling
Our Boogie Beat shop is home to a selection of puppets that we use in class. Why not retell the story of The Gingerbread man, practice sailing a Pirate ship with Pirate Pete or join Cinderella with her handsome prince and the queen all at home.
Outside fun
Getting your child outside over the holidays is always a must, but sometimes its hard to know what to do with them – why not get them practicing their motor skills with balancing, jumping, throwing and catching – bean bags are a great idea for this – small, easy to grip and great to learn with. Maybe put a few in a line and practice jumping over them one by one or throwing and catching to a grown up or sibling and making the distance smaller and larger between the throws – such a great activity for a small price.
Rainy day?
Let’s hope we don’t have a rainy day, but this is the UK so one will never be far away!! Our Boogie Beat shop can come to the rescue. We have a large choice of free printable downloads of your child’s favourite Boogie Beat traditional tales. Download and print at home and get them colouring in (or if your brave enough – painting!!) and having fun bringing the pictures to life on a rainy day.
